LCL - international alphabet using turtle art / albabeto internacional

Although not much time / energy to read everything or doing all the activities of the on line course, sometimes, you find some interesting proposal to follow or contributing to. This time, Adriano proposed to complete an alphabet using Turtle art tool, and the result is amazing. You can see creativity and personality of every person who has made a drawing using commands to move the "turtle" around.

Aunque no tengo mucho tiempo / energía para leer o hacer todas las actividades del curso en linea del que os vengo hablando, aunque vez, encuentro una propuesta interesante para seguir o a la que contribuir. Esta vez, como os contaba, Adriano propuso completar un alfabeto usando el programa "Turtle art" (el arte tortuga) y el resultado me parece genial. Puedes ver la creatividad y personalidad de cada persona que ha hecho su dibujo usando los comandos para hacer que la tortuga se mueva. :) Espero que os guste tanto como a mi. 56 dibujos, nada más y nada menos. LCL week#4: Turtle art - "C"

As many of us, I am already behind and feeling I can't cope with everything. Still, I am reading something, watching the lessons and trying new tools. Last week was scratch. This time, turtleart. I have enjoyed this tool so much.. it is very intuitive... I have read that Adriano, one of the participants of the course, has suggested to make an Alphabet and as I was trying, I decided to join. This is the result. My "C" :)

Como nos está pasando a muchos, ya estoy retrasada y sintiendo que no voy a ser capaz de hacer todo. De todos modos, estoy leyendo, viendo las clases y sobre todo probando las nuevas herramientas que nos proponen. La semana pasada fue scratch. Esta semana "turtle art", para hacer dibujos o diseños programando el movimiento y las repeticiones del cursor, que es una tortuga. :) Me ha gustado mucho.. es super intuitiva... He decidido colaborar con la idea de un alumno, Adriano, que ha propuesto hacer un abecedario. Y este es el resultado. Mi "C". ¿Os animáis a probar?

LCL week 3: my first scratch project / Semana 3: proyecto con el programa "scratch"

It is being really interesting to follow the course, although already being late, as I can't handle all the info on time or do all the interesting things we are suggested to do. Still, listening to the lectures, changing info or comments with people with the same interests than you is worth it.
Last week, the main suggested activity was to explore a program created for kids and used mainly for them, which is called scratch. It is mainly a tool to program your own story, video game or slideshow, using intuition and logic. And it is an online community as well, as everyone can see the code and you can download it, share it or ask other people for something you have liked and that you do not know what to do.
This is my first try. It was very fun. Of course I am a woman, not a man, and my original idea was to do something else, but this is the result.
I am sure if I was a teacher, I would use it at classes. Phantastic tool. I reccomend you to try :)

 Está siendo realmente interesante seguir el curso, aunque ya voy retrasada, porque no puedo manejar tanta información en tan poco tiempo o hacer todas las actividades que nos sugieren. De todos modos, escuchar las clases e intercambiar comentarios e información con gente que tiene los mismos intereses que tú, merece la pena.
La semana pasada, la actividad principal sugerdia era explorar un programa creado para niños y usado principalmente por ellos, que se llama scratch, y que está desarrollado por el MIT. Fundamentalmente es una herramienta con la que puedes programar tu propia historia, videojuego o presentación, usando intución y lógica. Y además es una comunidad en linea, ya que todo el mundo puede ver el código usado y descargarlo y puedes compartirlo o pder algo que te haya gustado o que no sepas cómo hacer a otros usuarios.
Este es mi primer intento. Ha sido muy divertido. Por supuesto, soy una mujer y no un hombre, y mi idea original no se parecía en nada a lo que ha salido, pero aquí está el resultado.
Estoy segura que si fuera profesora, lo usaría en clase. Es una herramienta genial. Os recomiendo que probéis. Espero que os guste:

LCL week 2: "The marshmallow challenge" - El reto de la nube - semana 2 del curso LCL

This week has been so busy I haven't had the time yet to see the lesson nor to do anything about the course, but today I have been spending Sunday with good friends and decided to try the marshmallow challenge. For those who aren't doing LCL course, it consist on building an estable structure as high as you can with 20 spagethi, 30 cm of cord, 30 cm of tape in 18 minutes. At the top you have to put a marshmallow... it seems easy, but above all it is fun to try as while trying you learn about team work, structures, phisics.. and above all, you laugh a lot if doing it with friends.

We made two attempts... just without thinking, no time to prepare anything. After 18 minutes and many fun moments as when Nacho decided we needed a helping tool while finishing the structure, this was the result:

Yes, it was estable.. for a second! :) But was sooo fun! The picture reflects just the moment of the happiness of a good job done!
Still, as it wasn't really estable, we decided to try again. This time, there was a debate, an assigment of work to each person, and two different options to try just in case. 8 minutes later, the result: 77 cm high and very estable

Will try it for sure at least another time with more people! And will tell you the result! :)

Para los que no habláis inglés, y por si queréis probarlo, aquí la explicación del "reto de la nube" una actividad para esta semana del curso que estoy haciendo on line...
Necesitais 20 espaguetis, 30 cm de cuerda, 30 cms de cello y una nube. El reto es construir la torre más alta que podáis en 18 minutos, con la nube en lo más alto y que sea estable.
¡Animaos! Es super divertido y además, da para aprender mucho.. pero mucho... sobre organización, estructuras, física y sobre todo, ¡¡imaginación!!

Universo versus Multiverso

Admiro a la gente que siendo un experto en lo que sea, es capaz de explicar algo sumamente complicado a alguien que no lo ha escuchado nunca, de manera que lo entienda. Es más, me parece increíble que la nueva teoría del Universo, o en este caso Multiverso, se pueda explicar con una botella de agua y unas gafas.

Por si alguno os lo perdisteis, creo que merece la pena verlo. Estuve con la boca abierta todo el programa. No por lo que decía (está claro que somos super egocéntricos y siempre lo seremos), sino por cómo lo explicaba.

Será que me ha tocado dar más de una clase.
